Moroccan Ghassoul, also known as Rhassoul or Moroccan Lava Clay, is a natural clay mined from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. It has been used for centuries in North African beauty rituals due to its high mineral content and gentle cleansing properties. Rich in silica, magnesium, and calcium, Ghassoul helps absorb excess oil, remove impurities, and exfoliate the skin without stripping moisture. It can be used as a face mask, body cleanser, or hair treatment.
Ideal for all skin and hair types
For the Face & Body:
In a small bowl, mix 1-2 tablespoons of Ghassoul clay with water or floral water (such as rose or orange blossom) until it forms a smooth paste. Apply a thin layer to clean skin, avoiding the eye area.
Leave on for 5-10 minutes (do not let it fully dry on the skin). Rinse off with warm water and follow with a moisturizer or oil.
For the Hair & Scalp:
Mix 2-3 tablespoons of Ghassoul with water or aloe vera juice to create a runny paste. Apply to damp hair and scalp, massaging gently. Let sit for 5-10 minutes before rinsing thoroughly with warm water.
Tips:
For dry skin or hair, mix Ghassoul with honey, yogurt, or argan oil for added moisture. Use 1-2 times per week for best results.
