The Instax SQUARE SQ1 camera easily and immediately produces photos in square format. The SQ1 differs from previous models with a completely new unisex style design and also simpler controls.

The SQ1 is also improved with an automatic scene setting function and adds an easier way to turn on the selfie mode. It is turned on by simply turning the lens.

The function of automatic setting of the scene during photography recognizes the level of ambient lighting and illuminates the scene with the flash when it is lacking. The user does not have to set anything else to achieve high-quality instant images.

Users will appreciate the new selfie mode not only at parties with friends. It is activated by turning the lens ring twice, thanks to which the camera is then able to focus at shorter distances from 30 to 50 cm. In addition, there is a small mirror on the front side next to the lens, which can be used to check how the self-portrait will look. In addition, the selfie mode can also be successfully used for taking photos of all kinds of details.

The lens with a focal length of 65.75 mm and an aperture of f/12.6 offers a focusing distance from 30 cm to infinity. The SQ1 prints 62 x 62mm square photos, taking about 90 seconds to develop one image. Two CR2 batteries can print approximately 300 photos. To prevent the batteries from draining, the camera turns itself off after five minutes of inactivity.
